Another Disneyland Trip

Ryan and I took the kids to Disneyland again. We've never gone before with just the 4 of us so it was a really special day. It was raining on us when we were driving out there so we were worried about the weather but boy did it change! It was soo hot the rest of the day. The kids and I all had on jeans and t-shirts and we were all wet with sweat.

We started the day in California Adventure so that we could go on the new Toy Story ride. It was really fun and both kids enjoyed it. We went on the zephyrs next and Delaney and Bryse had the hugest grins on their face the whole time. Bryse loved peeking over the side at everything below. After that we went to "A Bug's Life" area and went on the caterpillar and the ladybug ride. We ate lunch after that and headed over to Disneyland to see the Toy Story "Woody's Roundup" show they have right now. It was cute. Delaney was in the front row and was so excited to see Woody, Jessie and Bullseye. She took a picture with Woody afterwards....Bryse wouldn't go near him. We were looking forward to seeing all of the halloween decorations (they were really cute) but I was kind of disappointed that they didn't have a halloween parade (it's the same one they always have). Of course we hit up Delaney's favorite roller coaster ride in Toon Town and then we got her face painted ( i was surprised she picked a butterfly and not her usual Ariel or Tinkerbell). We went on the Nemo ride too and Delaney and Bryse both liked it. It was a great family day that we definitely needed!!

Delaney started dance

Delaney started taking dance lessons at the Dancers studio on Sunnyside Dr. (next to the Post Office) in Riverside. This is the studio that my cousin Jenn went to her whole life and also taught at. Delaney was so excited to start the lessons. She picked out her leotard and wanted to wear her tap shoes all over the place. She's one of the youngest in her class so all she wants to do is look at herself in the mirror. It's the cutest thing watching all the little girls do their kicks and pliees (i have no idea how to spell that!). Next time I want to bring the video camera and get some footage to share.

Delaney's 1st Day of Preschool

Delaney started preschool! I cannot believe it. She's been so excited about going to school but when she found out that we weren't going to stay with her she got very upset! She screamed when we left and I felt so terrible. She stopped crying after the third week- now when I drop her off she doesn't even care!

Anyways, she was so happy the first morning of school. She called Ryan's parents and she called mine to tell them about school and how Bryse couldn't go with her because, "he's too little". After school (with me in tears the whole morning missing her) Ryan, Bryse and I picked her up and took her to lunch at CPK. We went to Borders bookstore afterwards and got a new book about school. She absolutely loves preschool now and asks every morning if she can go to school (she only goes Tuesdays and Thursdays). I got to school a little early the other day and was watching her run around the playground......what a big girl! It feels like my time with her is going so fast. I was going through some of her baby clothes this past week and I can't believe that she used to fit in them. I feel like I can't even remember her as a baby! My favorite girl in the whole world is now my "big" little girl.

My 30th Birthday

We had a big party for my 30th birthday. It was a "white" themed party so everything was white and everyone wore white. It was so beautiful and I had the best time. It's the best birthday party I've ever had in my life! Thank you for taking all of the beautiful pictures Ricky!!!

I can't believe that I'm 30 already. I know that you're only as old as you feel and I certainly do not feel 30. It's strange how it took me 30 years to really figure myself out!! I'm an extremely lucky girl. I have two beautiful children, a fabulous husband who I don't tell enough how much I love and appreciate him, I have the best family, in-laws and friends. I get to stay at home and raise my kids...and work at home, too!! I am so thankful for everyone and every thing. I know I've been a stinker most of my life and I probably don't deserve the wonderful things that I've been given so my 30th birthday is the start of a new beginning. Stop and smell the flowers, right. The Tim Mcgraw song "My next 30 years" rings so true to me now. I hope that my next 30 years are as wonderful as my past 30 years have been.
