Fun at home

My parents went to the river for Harley Run Weekend. They wanted to buy gifts for the kids. I said, "Don't buy them gifts, buy them a river house!" Sounds like a good idea, right?
They ended up buying the Delaney a hat and Bryse a biker bandana. There seems to be a theme here. This is the second river hat they have bought Delaney and this is the second time that my dad has taken pictures with Bryse holding an alcoholic beverage!! Just wait until Bryse gets older and sees these pictures.....I'm definitely going to win bad mom of the year!

I had some blankets laying on the ground that I wanted to wash after we went camping but for some reason Delaney decided that the blankets were "water". She was having a great time jumping into the "water". Bryse was chasing after her with my dad and I was just trying to capture the moment. It was hilarious!

Dress Up at The Howe's!

On Sunday the kids and I went over to Charles and Jacque's. My kids LOVE their family and I do too! Delaney decided she needed to try on all of Catelynn's princess dresses and Christian's Buzz Lightyear costume also. Bryse wasn't in the mood for dress up so he hung out in the dress up box. He also took his first steps at their house...about ten of them! The kids always have the best time with the Howe family...they take such good care of us! We can't wait for summer when Jacque is out of school so that we can hang out more often.

March of Dimes Walk

On Saturday the kids and I did the March of Dimes Walk with Dean, Amy, Diana (Amy's mom), Allyson (Amy's niece- we walked for her because she was a preemie), Charles, Jacque, Catelynn, Christian, Coleman and Connie (Dean's mom). It was definitely hot out! The kids did great. There were soo many people. I think that the walk was about 5 miles. We started out at RCC and walked to Fairmont Park and back. We took a potty and snack break at Fairmont Park and the kids got to see some ducks. We went to lunch after at Mr. T's...yummy, I love that place!

Camping at Campland in San Diego

We had our annual camping trip with Bill, Jenn and Jack Villa at Campland on the Bay in San Diego. Bill and Jenn bought our old boat so they brought it out and we all camped in our trailer. We all fit great but of course my kids didn't sleep well (they never seem to unless we are at home).
It was cloudy when we got there on Saturday and drizzled a little bit that night. Sunday morning was COLD!! The kids had fun outside catching bubbles (with the nets from Degan's bday party- thanks Tiffany!) and riding their bikes. Delaney and Bryse were in love with Jack's motorized quad. All 3 of them fought over it the whole time (and every other toy).
We went out on the boat and froze but Delaney kept saying, "faster, faster" and "where's Ariel?". We had so much fun we decided to stay an extra night and ate dinner at the Catamaran. The kids couldn't sit still..they wanted to play in the sand so we took them in Jack's wagon to Beso Yogurt. That was the best yogurt place I've ever been to. They had a ton of different flavors and all the toppings you could imagine. Then they weighed your cup for your total. We had boysenberry yogurt and it was delicious. Delaney wanted to feed Bryse. She would give him the spoon and he would drop it on the floor every time so we had to stop that after what seemed like the tenth time.
Monday was somewhat warmer but Bill had to work so we got in the pool/jacuzzi. It was pretty bright so I put Delaney's sunglasses on Bryse...it didn't last for too long!
Our Yearly camping trips with the Villa's are always a blast. We look forward to many more!

Bryse's first baseball game!

So Bryse is officially a baseball fan. We went to a Dodger game with Ryan's parents and had a great time.
Delaney was great! Her favorite parts of the game where "The Wave", singing "Take me out to the ball game" and also chanting "swing, batter batter, swing!"
We were so worried that Bryse wouldn't sit still but he did so good! I wonder if this means that he's a dodger fan for life? Delaney's first game was an Angel game so she always cheers for the Angels. It will be interesting to see when they get older how they feel about both teams!

Birthday parties are fun!

We went to a Richard and Sue's to celebrate Natalie's first birthday (I can't beleive that we'll be celebrating Bryse's soon!). Delaney and Bryse had fun.....they seem to have fun no matter what we do! Delaney decided to pick some flowers and put them in her hair. Bryse was all over the place and had to put on my cousin John's sunglasses. Soo cute...I love my kids!

That same weekend we went to Rob and Kathy's to celebrate Degans' first birthday..and you guessed it! The kids had a blast! Delaney wouldn't slide down the slip and slide but Bryse went almost all the way down (with my heart pounding the whole time!). We've really missed the Bowlers so it was really great to see some of them again!

Delaney helping Papa

Our washing machine was going crazy every time I did a load so my dad came over to "level" it to see if it would fix the problem. Well of course my little helper girl had to lend a hand. Delaney had to keep changing tools and was on the floor trying to fix the dryer. She did a great job! Do I see a job as a Repair Woman in her future?

A Swinging Good Time

The kids LOVE to swing! At the park the other day Bryse literally was swinging until he spit up! Delaney just wants to go as fast and high as she can. I love to their smiles when they are swinging..priceless.
