One HOT birthday party for August Olague!

One of my stroller strides instructors (her name is Dana and she's such a great lady!) has a daughter who has the same birthday as Delaney. Her name is August and she is one year younger. It was another extremely hot and humid weekend. The party was at a house that has parties all the time and it had bouncy houses, clowns, face painters, crafts, games, balloon shape makers, spiderman, elmo, big bird, bert & ernie and even Dora!! The kids had so much fun but they were soooo hot. I finally had to take Bryse's shirt off because he was bright red and soaked with sweat. Delaney of course was in love with Dora and the Sesame Street characters but was afraid of Spiderman. It was a great place to have a party...too bad it was so hot that day!! Happy 2nd Birthday August!!

Delaney's 3rd Birthday

oh, where do I begin. It's been so long since I've blogged and there's been so much going on!! I guess I'll start with Delaney's 3rd Birthday party!! It was soooooo HOT!! We were all melting! Delaney had a great time at her party and got SOOOOOOOO many gifts!! That girl has more toys than I know what to do with! I ordered her cake from Sam's Club and they put hot pink icing on the cupcakes which was not the best idea! The kids faces and hands were all stained pink.

On her actual birthday (which was on a thursday) we were at the river. Ryan couldn't get off of work so the kids and i went with my parents to my aunt and uncle's house in needles. We had so much fun. It was Bryse's first time at the river and he loved it! I'm so glad that my kids are river rats like me!! Thanks mema and papa for driving us and thank you aunt rhonda and uncle mike for letting us stay at your place!!

Thank you to everyone for making Delaney's 3rd Birthday so special! I don't know what my life would be like if i didn't have Delaney in it....she's my best friend, my pal, my snuggle buddy, my shopping partner. We do everything together. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for my beautiful baby girl. Happy Birthday Delaney!!

Ryan's 31st Birthday

We celebrated Ryan's 31st birthday with Bill and Jenn in San Diego. We went out on the boat in the bay, ate dinner at Nick's and then went for a late night cruise. It was a blast. Thank you Bill and Jenn for being our favorite vacationers! We love you! Happy Birthday Ryan!!

We had family photos taken today and there are some cute pictures. I don't like any of the pictures of me but isn't that always how it goes!! I can't believe that we FINALLY got Delaney to smile for the camera!! It's always been sooooo hard getting the kids to cooperate and smile for the camera but they were so good today...having Ryan there made a huge difference!

Cancun

We just got back from Cancun and had a blast! We went with Dean and Amy and what an adventure it was! We stayed at the resort by the pool for the first few days and then we did day trips for the last two days. Ryan got a sore throat and I caught a cold so we are both exhausted!! We had so much fun and can't wait for our adults only trip next year to the Caymans!!

Bryse's 1st Birthday

I can't believe that Bryse is one year old already! This year flew by! He's such a sweet boy and is always smiling. He seems so much older than he really is because he wants to keep up with Delaney.

Since we always go overboard when it comes to birthday celebrations it should come as no surprise that we had such a wonderful party for his birthday!! It started out as just a fire truck themed party so I went to the fire station to get his picture taken in the fire truck to have at the party. Of course the firemen were so nice and suggested coming to his birthday party. Who could say no to that!! So what was supposed to be a just a swim party turned into a swim party with a fire truck demonstration. It was so neat! The firemen didn't do a lot at first so most people went back inside to swim but then they had the rookie put on the full gear and show how everything worked and then they let the kids shoot water out of the fire hose! What an amazing 1st birthday present!!

Everyone had a great time swimming and the food was delicious! Thanks to everyone who made this amazing birthday party such an unforgettable one! Bryse LOVED his birthday cake and of course as with any other 1 year old was not too interested in opening gifts.....but Delaney sure was!! She still thinks all of those presents are hers! How am I ever going to top this birthday party? Poor Delaney....I'm really going to have to think of something good for her birthday!!
